Cosy by the fire

Cosying up by the fire now, after a fab - busy - weekend.  The weekend, in a nutshell, has involved bonfires, fireworks, champagne, friends, chilli, wine and a lot of laughing.  Today I've been sorting out my yarn stash and having a thoroughly lovely time.

Just popped by to check in but have got lots of chat and will be back soon.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

  1. Sounds like you've had a lovely weekend. Chilli and wine - yes please! I've had a good weeked too, Ray's been in Scotland for a couple days so my Nan came to stay for a night and we've been busy in the garden today.. I don't know where she gets her energy from, as I'm absolutely exhausted now.
Hope you had a great time at the fireworks, I wish I could have gone to see some but with Rose now.. it's not so easy. :-(

  2. Sounds lush and I love your fire! I've had a busy boring weekend filled with chores. The husband worked all weekend (he does it every other weekend) so I had to deal with the kids fighting, tantrums, arguments, washing, cooking, cleaning, working, it's literally been no rest for the wicked.
Don't think it was the best weekend I've ever had, if I'm honest!
I took the Prince to fireworks and he hated it so Ashley was right to stay away.
    Enjoy the fire x x x x

  4. The fire looks so cosy and inviting! It sounds like you've had a fab weekend. There were plenty of fireworks going off round here but I didn't venture out. It was cold! x

  8. A fire burning is one of the things I miss along with my wood stove that I cooked jams and sauces on and roasts in the oven. I loved my old home, I went for a walk a few weeks ago and looked at the old home and the people have put rooms underneath and it looks fab. I felt sad that it wasn't mine anymore...sigh. Should go back and take a photo.
Ohh if I started sorting my yarn stash I would be at it all day, I have an embarrassing amount of yarn

  12. Oh so nice a fire place in the house, I don't have one but when it is cold outside than sitting by the fire is the best place to be.. I dream about it!

    Have a nice week,
